Airborne noise reduction 50%
Impact noise reduction 30%
50mm space loss
TPS50C
What it does
Reduces sound such as road traffic noise, TV, conversation and general airborne noise from transmitting up through the ceiling, providing the most cost-effective and essential ceiling soundproofing by treating the noise at the source.
Where it works best
Installed directly to the joists below, it is a great choice for those customers who no longer want to hear road noise, those with flats with access to the ceiling below, or the considerate neighbour who wants privacy by reducing the noise transmitted through the ceiling. To exceed the current approved Part E of the Building Regulations, this system should be used in conjunction with TPSE. For more commercial ceiling soundproofing, see our office soundproofing site.
Airborne noise reduction 65%+
Impact noise reduction 45%
45mm space loss
TPS65C
What it does
Reduces sound travelling through the ceiling from the room below using a series of interlocking specialist ceiling soundproofing layers. It has a unique resilient layer installed between the joists for minimal space loss.
Where it works best
The TPS65C ceiling soundproofing system is best suited for customers who want the maximum reduction in noise from below with the least amount of ceiling height loss. It is a great choice for those with loft conversions, cottages or basement ceilings, as well as flats with wooden joist construction where space loss must be kept to a minimum.
Airborne noise reduction 70%
Impact noise reduction 65%+
85mm space loss
TPS70C
What it does
Reduces sound transmitting through the ceiling from the room below, using a combination of interlocking layers and a unique resilient bar system that offers superior isolation. TPS70C can provide impact sound reductions at only 85mm space loss.
Where it works best
The TPS70C ceiling system is best suited for customers with concrete ceilings, steel beams, block and beam, or any unique ceiling structures where isolation is important. It is a great choice for customers who are considerate noise makers or where high levels of soundproofing are required in a relatively small amount of space. TPS70C will provide a barrier against most airborne noises in a residential flat.
Airborne noise reduction 80%+ Impact noise reduction 65%+ 180mm space loss
TPS80C
What it does
Reduces sound from the floor above travelling through the existing ceiling. The independent ceiling soundproofing frame is isolated from the conflicting ceiling, so noise finds it difficult to transmit into the new ceiling.
Where it works best
The TPS80C is best suited for customers who demand a high level of airborne noise improvement through the ceiling and where space loss is less of a concern. It is a great choice for those customers with high ceilings in apartments and flats where there is no access to the floors above.
Recognised by Rockwool and the National Federation of Roofing Contractors (NFRC) for its 0% condensation risk assessment, the TPS80C is the preferred choice for any soundproof garage conversion, soundproof garden studio, or any building with a roof that requires a good level of room soundproofing.
Frequently Asked Questions
A: If you are hearing impact noise such as footsteps and footfall, creaking floorboards, doors slamming, plug sockets and light switches, the soundproofing needs to be treated from above. We need to install a resilient layer between the neighbours floor joists and their floor boards. This means pulling up your neighbours flat floor and installing a floating floor isolated from the structure. Heavy duty underlay from specialist acoustic suppliers installed under the carpet will not solve the problem and more often makes creaking floor boards and similar noises worse. If you are experiencing loud music, TV, conversation, radio, alarm clocks and video games, then we can install a ceiling system such as TPS70C to your ceiling, offering a human perceived noise improvement of 70%. However if your walls are plaster-boarded, these will have to be treated as well in order to get the full integrity out of your ceiling investment.
A: Yes. Whether its floor or ceiling soundproofing, we will be able to reduce the noise up to 65% or more.
A: Soundproofing works by adding layers of acoustic insulation to ceilings which reduces the amount of sound that can pass through; with our systems offering up to 80%+ human perceived reduction in airborne noise. We have products to suit every requirement.
A: This noise can be reduced by 80% with some of our systems. We have a range of floor systems designed to absorb and reflect this kind of noise. Although better to treat the noise at source by treating the ceilings below if possible.

A: Flanking areas are those areas of your property where sound can transmit indirectly or by going around rather than directly through the main conflicting wall or floor.Even if the main conflicting surface has been soundproofed to a high standard, sound can still transmit through the flanking areas. Some flanking paths can be lounder than the direct paths. Examples of flanking areas for a party wall would be: the floor, ceiling, window wall, RSJ entering the party wall, stud walls, chimneys stacks, bay window ceilings.
A: You may have to remove your existing ceiling however soundproofing over an existing ceiling is possible. Please feel free to give us a call to discuss your soundproofing options and ask us this question on 01926 658 638.
A: We understand that this is one of the key issues. We work with you to get the balance right between the amount of noise reduction and how much room space is lost. We specialize in domestic houses where not every soundproofing problem is the same. We offer a range of systems for ceilings, walls and floors all of which specify the space loss to help you find the best solution for your requirements.
